Fatai Adams elected Ondo PDP chairman

Hon. Fatai Adams has been elected as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State.

Adams polled 1,343 votes to defeat his co-contestant, Dennis Alonge-Niyi, who got 369 votes.

Until his election as the new party boss, he was the immediate PDP Vice Chairman in Ondo State.

Former deputy chairman of the party Hon. Fatai Adams and the former national youth leader of the party Dennis Along-Niyi contested for the  PDP state chairmanship position.

According to our reporters, well over 2000 delegates voted at the congress to elect the PDP state party executives in Akure, Ondo State.

The delegate process was transparent, well organized and hitch-free with early accreditation of delegates across the 18-council area of Ondo State. 

Among those present are the party’s governorship candidate, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) and the PDP caretaker chairman of the party in Ondo State  Hon Clement Faboyede.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi and his supporters were conspicuously absent throughout the entire PDP State congress process in Akure.

Speaking to our reporters immediately after the election, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN  and Hon. Clement Faboyede were pleased with the transparent electoral process that ushered in the new PDP State executive with the confidence that the newly elected congress would produce a formidable winning team for the Oct 10 governorship election in Ondo State.
