Pursuant to section 58(1) (b, c, f, h, and j) of the PDP Constitution as amended in 2017, the Ondo State Working Committee of opposition party PDP has suspended its State Chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams for alleged anti-party runs that is posing a threat to bring the party into state of disrepute.

The State Disciplinary Committee are awaiting him within the next one week to defend the allegations leveled against him to avoid outright expulsion from the party.

Some of the allegations leveled against Hon. Fatai Adams includes but not limited to being on the payroll of the Minister of Interior of the ruling party Hon.Tunji Ojo (BTO) they also alleged that his sympathy for the ruling party lead to the failure of PDP performance  during the last  concluded 2023 Presidential Election in Ondo State.

His recent action that spurred this suspension cannot be unconnected to his decision not to participate in meetings that would move the party forward as a formidable opposition against the growing interest of APC in Ondo State, Hon. Fatai Adams refused to show up at reconciliation meetings organized four times by former Governor Olusegun Mimiko in Ondo town to move to thr party forward ahead of the next governorship election in Ondo State.

To make the situation worst according to reliable sources, Hon. Fatai Adams also refused to attend the first meet held after choosing Hon. Olalekan Bada as the candidate to contest Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency by the stakeholders of the party in Ondo North Senatorial District, a district of which Hon. Fatai Adams comes from.

Unconfirmed reason for Fatai Adams neglecting the maiden meeting of the MHR candidate was that the leaders of the Ondo North Senatorial District rejected his personal candidate for the position.

These and more other undisclosed allegations were penned down for Hon. Fatai Adams by Ondo State Disciplinary Committee of PDP for him to defend and justify why he should remain the Chairman of their Working Committee facing the ruling party at the poll on two critical elections ahead of the opposition party for Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency and Governorship Election.
