ADEFISOYE CONDEMNS LATEST KILLINGS IN IDANRE; CHARGES AKEREDOLU

Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, a member of House of Representatives representing Idanre / Ifedore Federal Constituency has condemned in very strong terms the politically motivated killings that took place in Idanre township in recent time.

In a press statement through his Senior Legislative Aide, Richard Adeyemi,
the Federal lawmaker said Idanre is a town known for security, peace and peaceful coexistence amongst the people; and this culture of politically motivated killings and maiming should not be allowed to get eroded beyond control.

He said It will be noted that SDP withdrew from the recently conducted local government election in a bid to avert further political violence in Idanre. This was indeed a sacrifice because nothing can ever be too much to let go in the interest of peace and unity.

He reiterated that it is very critical now as a matter of urgency that the traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders, political leaders as well business leaders within Idanre should sue for peace and also take decisive steps that will help to avert further violence in the town.

Adefisoye avers that ‘do or die’ brand of politics should be discouraged in Idanre town while the sanctity of human lives and properties be respected.

Honourable Adefisoye concluded his press statement by charging Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and the security agents in Ondo State to ensure that security of lives and properties are guaranteed in Idanre; while those behind the recent killings are speedily brought to justice.
